Unabashedly nerdy for science fiction & fantasy, politics, science and history. And opinions! Man, I got so many opinions, I had to rent out a warehouse for em all.
Sometimes NSFW. Just putting that out there. 18+ only.

Geordi’s really bad, just awful, no good, can this get any worse day.

I love Data’s “oh shit!” face after he throws Geordi halfway across main engineering.

Instead of ignoring Brent Spiner’s natural aging process, I like to think that Data has been making subtle physical alterations to his face so he’ll seem to age along with his friends because he wants to experience aging with them.

There’s an episode in the seventh season of TNG, Inheritance, that mentions  that Data has an “aging” program. Nonetheless, Brent Spiner decided he had grown too old to play the character and had the writers kill him off in Nemesis.

They did leave a door open to bring Data back and while they never had a chance to do it in another TNG movie, they did do it in a comic series called Countdown, which is set just before the events of the Star Trek reboot. Data is brought back in B4’s body, he rejoins Starfleet and eventually becomes captain of the Enterprise.

I HAS JOKE

Corey’s little bro told it to me

Why do people think Captain Kirk has 3 ears?

Because he has a left ear, a right ear and a final frontier!!!!

Anyway, I think it’s hilarious

What the hell is wrong with Data?

There was an episode of TNG where Q is stripped of his powers and made human by the rest of the Continuum because of his constant BS and they dump him on the Enterprise. Data’s the only one willing to deal with him, since the rest of the crew doesn’t believe him. Anyway, there’s a scene where Data explains how he envies (or a close approximation of envy) others because of their emotions and how he’d give anything to just be able to laugh. After that, Data saves Q’s life from some sort of alien dust cloud bent on revenge for years of torment by Q and Data nearly dies and Q decides to sacrifice himself to save the Enterprise and yadda, yadda, yadda, he gets his powers back because he acted selflessly for once. As a parting gift, Q uses his abilities to let Data experience a moment of laughter, hence the gif.
